John Jakicic won an American College of Sports Medicine Citation Award

The Cathedral of Learning reflected in Posvar Hall

John Jakicic (EDUC 鈥95G), chair of the聽Department of Health and Physical Activity聽in the聽School of Education received the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Citation Award 鈥斅爋ne of the most prestigious honors given by the organization.

The recognizes individuals who have made 鈥渟ignificant and important contributions to the fields of sports medicine and/or exercise science.鈥 According to its website, ACSM is made up of more than 50,000 members and certified professionals, and 鈥渋s the authority for sports medicine and exercise science.鈥

Jakicic, who is also the founding director of 51精品视频鈥檚 new聽聽(HLI), accepted his award at an Orlando conference in late May.
