Joseph Mahoney (SOC WK ’10) has been  executive director of Ellen O’Brien Gaiser Center, a treatment program for alcohol and substance use disorders located in Butler, Pennsylvania. With more than 15 years of experience in behavioral health services, including oversight of outpatient clinics and a partial hospitalization program, Mahoney brings a focus on the link between mental health disorders and substance abuse to his post.

Previously, Mahoney was director of mental/behavioral health and social work services for school districts and communities in Washington, Greene and Fayette counties.
