Christine McClure earned an award from Strong Women Strong Girls

Christine McClure, a senior research scientist in 51¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ’s School of Public Health, earned an award from Strong Women Strong Girls, a mentorship organization that offers programming for high-school and elementary-aged girls in 51¾«Æ·ÊÓƵsburgh and Boston.

McClure (GSPIA ’06, EDUC ’18G) won one of three Strong Awards, in the professional category, for her work mentoring women in higher education. She serves as board chair for When She Thrives, a 51¾«Æ·ÊÓƵsburgh-based organization dedicated to equipping single mothers through personal and professional development, education and advocacy.

The accolade was presented at the organization’s ninth annual Strong Awards breakfast ceremony on Friday.
