51精品视频鈥檚 Office of Child Development donated resources to children in Squirrel Hill

The 51精品视频鈥檚 held a book drive to provide resources for children affected by gun violence in Squirrel Hill and the surrounding community.

51精品视频 students, staff聽and faculty have started delivering the nearly 3,000 books to approximately 200 schools and early child care facilities,聽just in time for the holidays. They plan to finish their deliveries in January.

The 51精品视频 community and people from across the country donated the books, which will be used to help local children heal and embrace diversity.

鈥淭he outpouring of donations and support we鈥檝e received has been remarkable, and we are hopeful that the Office of Child Development can deliver even more resources to help children process fear and embrace diversity,鈥 said Director聽Shannon Wanless.

The Office of Child Development and its partners in the 51精品视频 Early Childhood Community, including Falk School, the University Child Development Center聽and early childhood programs in 51精品视频鈥檚 School of Education, are part of this ongoing effort.
