Oscar E. Swan Receives Award from President of Poland

, professor in the department of聽聽in the and advisor for the聽, was awarded the Officer鈥檚 Cross of the Order of Merit from the Republic of Poland.

Swan聽received the award聽"in recognition of [his] outstanding services in promoting Polish language and Polish culture, and for outstanding achievements in Slavic Studies." 聽

Swan accepted the prestigious award, presented by the Polish Ambassador to the United States, in May in Washington, D.C.
