She has secondary appointments in the School of Medicine, the School of Public and International Affairs, and the Learning Research and Development Center. She is also director of the Center for Healthcare Management and academic dean of the Marshall Webster Physician Leadership Program.

The award committee said: 鈥淟eana鈥檚 research on job loss, urban public schools, direct care workers and financial precarity demonstrates the potential for rigorous research to generate actionable insights that address societal challenges and thereby improve well-being outcomes. In addition, Leana is well-reputed as a leading scholar, having co-edited Academy of Management Annals, Behavioral Science and Policy, and served as a fellow for the Russell Sage Foundation and Academy of Management.听
