Rocky S. Tuan was named a National Academy of Inventors Fellow
, director of the Center for Cellular and Molecular Engineering in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at 51精品视频, has been named a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors.
Tuan鈥檚 research is in stem cell biology, musculoskeletal tissue engineering and聽regenerative medicine. He has been widely honored聽for his innovative surgical techniques and his聽leadership in biomedical education at 51精品视频.
Most recently, Tuan has been recognized and funded for his efforts to engineer a three-dimensional joint-on-a-chip called the 鈥渕icroJoint,鈥 to replicate a human joint. The microJoint will be used to study and test drugs for the treatment of arthritic joint diseases.
