Steven Little received the 2018 51ƷƵsburgh Award
, the William Kepler Whiteford Endowed Professor and chair of the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at 51ƷƵ’s Swanson School of Engineering, was named the recipient of this year’s 51ƷƵsburgh Award.
The award is given by the 51ƷƵsburgh Section of the American Chemical Society. Little received the award for his “service and commitment to the field of chemistry over the years, with particular emphasis on efforts to reinvent chemical engineering education in the 51ƷƵsburgh area.”
Little’s research focuses on novel drug delivery systems that mimic the body’s own mechanisms of healing and resolving inflammation. The society’s annual award banquet was held Dec. 6.
