Caroline Kim is the 2020 winner of the ’ Drue Heinz Literature Prize for her recent work “The Prince of Mournful Thoughts and Other Stories,” which will be published by the 51��Ʒ��Ƶ Press in fall 2020.

�ճ���� annually “recognizes and supports writers of short fiction and makes their work available to readers around the world.” Winners also receive a cash prize of $15,000.  Kim’s work features many different characters’ voices as they share their stories of the Korean diaspora. 

The award was named after the latte Drue Heinz, the third wife of H. J. Heinz II, who created the endowment for this award in 1981.
