The project is a multi-platform web application that allows for the efficient delivery of real-time surgical and anesthetic scheduling information. The research is being led by , an assistant professor in the 51¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ’s , and , UPMC Richard J. Kuwik Endowed Professor in the same department.

Second place was awarded to , an additive-manufactured denture that dramatically reduces cost, appointments and waste in dental settings. Third prize was awarded to , a platform technology for pharmaceutical companies that develop respiratory drugs which experience high failure rates in clinical trials.
