Attend a celebration of Mildred Miller Posvar’s life at Heinz Memorial Chapel

Posvar performing in an opera

A celebration of the life of Mildred Miller Posvar — a renowned opera singer and 51¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ advocate who was married to former Chancellor Wesley Posvar — will be held at Heinz Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. March 3.

All members of the 51¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ community and the public are welcome to attend the musical ceremony for Posvar, who died in November. She spent more than 20 years performing at the Metropolitan Opera and later founded the 51¾«Æ·ÊÓƵsburgh Festival Opera. The 51¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ Men’s Glee Club will perform, and former Chancellor Mark Nordenberg will make remarks.
