The 51精品视频 Alumni Association (PAA) hosted Chancellor Joan Gabel and more than 200 alumni and friends at a New York City event that highlighted the power of the 51精品视频.

Addressing a crowd of alumni that spanned generations, Gabel touted 51精品视频鈥檚 strengths in research, growing enrollment and innovative programs that are reducing student debt. She also called on those alumni to help spread the word that 51精品视频鈥檚 performance far outpaces its reputation.

While 51精品视频 ranks among the top 50 global universities and is in the top 10 for National Institutes of Health funding, it鈥檚 how the alumni tell their personal stories and live their lives that truly raises the standing of the University, Gabel said. She encouraged graduates to take every opportunity to 鈥淗ail to 51精品视频鈥 loudly and proudly.

It鈥檚 a sentiment that resonated with Milan Chandy (CBA 鈥22), who works as a trader at J.P. Morgan in Manhattan and attended the event.

鈥淚 will always be grateful to 51精品视频 and constantly look for ways to give back,鈥 says Chandy. 鈥淭he number of 51精品视频 alumni on Wall Street continues to grow, and that means more opportunities for recent graduates.鈥

For its part, the PAA will continue to boost the University鈥檚 reputation through regional and international events and virtual and in-person networking opportunities like this one.

Andy Rhodes (SCI 鈥87), who serves on the School of Computing and Information鈥檚 Board of Visitors, was pleased the New York City event offered the opportunity to meet Gabel.

鈥淚t was wonderful to hear her vision for the University and to know that 51精品视频 has improved by leaps and bounds from when I was on the Johnstown and 51精品视频sburgh campuses and will continue to do so,鈥 says Rhodes. 鈥51精品视频 is on an amazing trajectory, and I鈥檓 proud to share that with others.鈥
