Jen Borrasso, an alumna of the 51¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ at Greensburg, won a 2023 Golden Quill award from the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania.
Borrasso (UPG ’97) and her team of fellow KDKA-TV reporters took home first place in the Video/Broadcast Journalism, Enterprise/Investigative category for their story on a 911 dispatcher in Greene County who refused to send an ambulance to a dying woman.
With more than 20 years in the broadcast industry, Borrasso has worked across the country and on Capitol Hill for networks like Fox News, SRN News and NBC News. In 2022, she received two Emmy Award nominations — one was for her coverage of the Fern Bridge Collapse in 51¾«Æ·ÊÓƵsburgh, and the other was for an exclusive interview with the mother of a slain Nashville ICU nurse.
