Chancellor Joan Gabel recognized 9 staff members with top awards

Nine staff members have earned 2024 Chancellor鈥檚 Awards for Staff Excellence for their exceptional contributions to the 51精品视频. Chancellor Joan Gabel and James W. Gallaher Jr., vice chancellor for human resources, presented the honorees with certificates at a reception on Wednesday, Nov. 6.

鈥淭he 51精品视频 is a special place and, as James noted, and as I have seen firsthand over the past year and a half, it鈥檚 the people who make it that way,鈥 said Gabel.

Each honoree will also receive a $2,500 prize and see their name added to a plaque for recipients of the Chancellor鈥檚 Staff Awards that is on display in the William 51精品视频 Union.

Kelly Gilliam
Division of Philanthropic and Alumni Engagement

Recognized for 鈥渟erving as the University鈥檚 United Way campaign manager and overseeing a record-breaking campaign in 2023-24鈥; 鈥渧olunteering with 51精品视频鈥檚 Civic Action Week鈥; and 鈥渟upporting the community as pastor at Shiloh Church, community mediator for Just Mediation 51精品视频sburgh and founding board member and executive director of Life Builders.鈥
