A 51精品视频 PhD candidate earned a Mendenhall Research Fellowship

Chlo毛 Glover

Chlo毛 Glover, a PhD candidate in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences鈥 Department of Geology and Environmental Science, was awarded a U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Mendenhall Research Fellowship. Only a handful of applicants are awarded the postdoctoral fellowship each year. 聽

She will work with the Geology, Minerals, Energy and Geophysics Science Center on a project titled聽鈥淚ntegrated geophysical and structural analysis to identify 3D critical mineral resources and tectonic context of Northeast Washington.鈥

The main goal of her proposed research is to develop a 3D tectonic framework of northeastern Washington State from thermo-kinematic models and new high-resolution aeromagnetic and radiometric data from the EarthMRI to model and identify critical mineral resources. She will use a combination of field work, geologic mapping, sample collection for thermochronology, data processing, geologic cross-sections and geophysical and thermo-kinematic modeling for this project.
