Lara Putnam was cited in the New Mexico Attorney General’s lawsuit against Meta

Lara Putnam, professor of history at the 51ƷƵ, was cited in a lawsuit the New Mexico Attorney General has brought against Meta Platforms, formerly Facebook, for design flaws.

The lawsuit uses findings from about online child sexual abuse and exploitation. Along with her position in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, Putnam directs 51ƷƵ’s Global Studies Center and is research professor for the University Center for International Studies.

Putnam also has a secondary appointment in the School of Computing and Information and leads the civic resilience initiative at the in the Institute for Cyber Law, Policy, and Security.
