A 51¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ Law alumna won Allegheny County’s Amram Award

Magistrate Judge received the Philip Werner Amram Award from the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA) at the June Bench-Bar Conference.

It is awarded annually to an ACBA member who personifies professional excellence and who has demonstrated substantial commitment to the association’s ideals and to the betterment of the greater community.

Lenihan (A&S ’80, LAW ’83) was appointed to the bench in 2004, and currently serves on the court’s Case Management and ADR Committee as well as the Third Circuit Judicial Council Committee on Magistrate Judges. She is also a member of the Board of Visitors for 51¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ’s School of Law and formerly served as president of the Law Alumni Association’s Board of Governors.

While a 51¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ Law student, Lenihan received the Marjorie Matson Woman of the Year Award from the school’s women’s association. In 2018, the school honored her once more with a Distinguished Alumni Award. Lenihan’s other honors include the Federal Magistrate Judges Association Founders Award, Mediation Council of Western Pennsylvania Conflict Resolution Day Award and the Women’s Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania’s Susan B. Anthony Award.
