51��Ʒ��Ƶ

On Oct. 25, the Pennsylvania Innocence Project will recognize its former and current volunteers and interns, including 51��Ʒ��Ƶ students.

Since 2016, 54 51��Ʒ��Ƶ students have volunteered with the nonprofit, which through legal and reentry services works to exonerate people who have been wrongfully convicted and help them transition to freedom.

The Pennsylvania Innocence Project has helped to exonerate 21 men and women over the last 13 years. The nonprofit also works to improve the criminal justice system to prevent more innocent people from being convicted.

The organization’s is a continuation of the 10th annual Wrongful Conviction Day earlier in October; it’s theme this year was “Building a Legacy.”
