Seven students were recognized for completing the basic machining course at the 51精品视频 at Titusville Education and Training Hub.
The students, who finished the 15-week program offered by the Manufacturing Assistance Center (MAC), received certificates at a Dec. 11 ceremony.
The recipients were Clyde Willey, Drake Williams, Landon Baker, Ashton Burleigh, Kayla Rihel, Lane Longacre and Ethan Strauss. All seven are Pennsylvania residents.
聽鈥淲e are pleased to have our eighth cohort complete the classroom and machine aspects of the Basic Machining program with the MAC here in Titusville,鈥 said Stephanie Fiely, executive director of the Hub. 鈥淪tudents who complete this program can easily enter into one of the great employment opportunities in our region.鈥
The course offers a combination of classroom, shop and machine time to help students develop manual and tooling skills. They learn conventional machining, including how to operate mills, lathes, grinders and saws. The students also learn to use micrometers and calipers and to read prints.
The next basic and CNC machining classes will begin the week of Jan. 8. to learn more.
