2. Do some internal work and then share with others
Anneliese Singh, who describes racial healing as 鈥渁n inside job鈥 presented steps from her book, 鈥淭he Racial Healing Handbook,鈥澛爄n the final event of the Diversity Forum, on Thursday, July 29.
Singh, chief diversity officer at Tulane University and a scholar who has researched the resilience developed by trans and non-binary people in resisting discrimination, suggests that one of the most healing things you can do following the Diversity Forum is to go back into your unit or workplace and discuss how you are changing it moving forward. Some of her tips include:

- Explore your internalized racism聽

- Grieve and name racism

3. Join a聽racial healing circle online or in your community
Racial healing is the need to acknowledge and tell the truth about past wrongs created by individual and systemic racism and聽address the present consequences. It鈥檚 a process and a tool that can facilitate trust and build authentic relationships that bridge divides created by real and perceived differences. Its mission is to create a space and community to bring together diverse people to engage in sustained and intentional dialogue for a shared vision of social justice.
