Ad Hoc Committee on Fossil Fuels Seeks Input

Members of the 51精品视频 community are encouraged to express their views to the of the Board of Trustees in two upcoming forums.

Input is being sought for the , which includes providing the full Board of Trustees with 鈥渙ptions on whether, to what extent, and via what methods the University, in its Endowment, should consider divestment from fossil fuels in existing and/or future investments.鈥

Two open forums are being held via Zoom:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET. .
  • Friday, Oct. 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. ET. .

Both virtual, public forums are open to all members of the University community on all five campuses and to the general public. Up to 500 people can join the Zoom session and 30 speaking slots are available per forum. Speakers are asked to sign up in advance and will be given three minutes each to address the committee.

If you are unable to attend a forum, but would like to make a public comment on the Committee鈥檚 Charge, please .

All public comments received by the Ad Hoc Committee online and via the forums will be publicly available in the committee鈥檚 final report.聽Irrelevant, inflammatory or otherwise inappropriate language will not be included.聽Public comment via the committee鈥檚 website will be open through Nov. 13, 2020.
